At a time when the government has completed two years since its formation, the lawmakers have observed that government made noticeable achievements.

Government’s spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Banskota, claimed that present government was successful to work in favour of people in recent two years.

At a programme organized at the Communications Ministry yesterday, it was informed that the government made huge progress for the establishment of good governance, corruption control, guarantee of peace and security and the national ambition of ‘prosperous Nepal: happy Nepali’ yielding results.

Similarly, Nepal Communist Party lawmaker and Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal, argued that the two years’ performance of government was satisfactory. "Government has made unprecedented achievements by tackling untoward situation. No government has ever made such move in the history," she said, adding that it would however take time to see results in all sectors.

Another lawmaker Nabaraj Silwal said government made achievements in the issues relating to prosperity, development and social sectors.

Although Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was scheduled to address the parliament on Friday to shed light on two year’s achievements the government made, the schedule could not take place due to the demise of National Assembly member Durga Prasad Upadhyay.
