Three dead in road mishaps

Three persons were killed in two separate road accidents happened in Gajuri and Benighat Rorang of Dhading district, the police said.

Seven-year-old Prajjwal Gurung died on the spot after a bus (Na 2 Kha 5057) en route of Talti from Malekhu hit the boy. The Deputy Superintendent of Police of district police office Rupak Khadka said police have impounded the bus while the driver fled the scene.

Similarly, two ladies died after a bus (Lu 2 Kha 135) coming to Kathmandu and a scooter (Ba 98 Pa 7058) from the opposite direction collided with each other at Chambas of Gajuri along the Prithvi Highway.

According to police, scooty rider Sharmila Silwal, 22, and Mahima Silwal, 20, of Gitanagar in Bharatpur died while receiving treatment in separate hospitals. Mahima is a cine artiste.

The Silwal sisters were heading to their hometown in Bharatpur for a wedding engagement of their sister.
