Nepal has improved in many indicators: Minister Banskota

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota has said that the present government led by the NCP has been completely successful. "Everything that the present government has done has been good, it has not done anything bad," he said at the regular Thursday press briefing on cabinet decisions.

The government has been able to translate dreams into reality. He also shared that Prime Minister KP Sharma would be addressing the people and informing them about the accomplishments of the government.

It may be noted that Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to address the House of Representatives on Friday. Following the formation of the present government, the rule of law has strengthened, corruption has decreased while there is notable progress in the state of law order with results coming out of the determination of ‘happy Nepali, prosperous Nepal’ campaign, he said.

Highlighting the government’s achievements, he said the Jayanagar-Kurtha railways would soon come into service while feasibility study on Kathmandu-Keryung railways, East-West railways has been completed. The subsequent projects will begin in the near future.

During this period, some 3,000 kilometers of roads have been blacktopped, the presence of fuel in Dailekh has been confirmed, and progress has been made in broadband connectivity, cyber security, digital economy and securities printing.

Stating that the present government has adopted a balanced foreign policy, he said the government has put up a strong position in matters related to Kalapani and Limpiyadhura. Prime Minister Oli was awarded with the ‘international visionary leader award’, which is a matter of pride for us.

On a different note, the government spokesperson shared that an agreement was reached with Laos in installing Nepal’s own satellite. No thought has been made as of now in privatizing Nepal Airlines Corporation, he added.
