Media sector should play role of social responsibility: Minister Basnet

Minister for Forest and Environment, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, has said the media sector should give constructive inputs to aware the state.

Minister Basnet said, "The media sector should also fulfill role of social responsibility."

He said so in a discussion on ‘Journalist Code of Conduct’ jointly organised by Press Council Nepal and Federation of Nepali Journalists, Jajarkot, here today.

Minister Basnet and central president of FNJ, Govinda Acharya, jointly inaugurated the newly constructed building of Jajarkot chapter of FNJ.

Member of House of Representatives, Satya Pahadi, Karnali state assembly member Ganesh Prasad Singh, Press Council members Ishwori Ojha and Govinda Chaulagain, Karnali state general-secretary of FNJ, Dipendra Sharma, were present on the occasion.
