Lower House passes bill to regulate radio refractive substances

A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today endorsed the bill to regulate radioactive substances- 2076 BS.

The bill was presented by Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokhrel in the meeting, seeking its endorsement. It got the acceptance by the session with majority.

Prior to the endorsement, lawmakers Khagaraj Adhikari, Sher Bahadur Tamang and Prem Suwal took part in the deliberations over the bill. In his response to queries raised by the lawmakers, the Minister said it was urgent to regulate and systematise radioactive substances and the bill was brought on the same basis.

The HoR shall meet again at 2:00 pm of February 14.
