‘China will win its fight against corona virus pneumonia’

Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal has said that China will overcome the battle against corona virus outbreak through its concerted efforts. She also extended Nepal’s solidarity to China’s attempts to contain the corona virus outbreak.

At a programme organized by Trans Himalayan Development Center in the Capital on Wednesday, Minister Aryal said that China is not alone in this hour of difficulty, adding that Nepalis have shared their humanitarian aspirations to the sorrows that China is facing at present.

Minister Aryal also said that Nepali students in Wuhan city would be evacuated very soon with the coordination of government of China.

Speaking at the programme, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi said that China has left no stone unturned to fight against corona virus while arguing that as a responsible country China has adopted utmost precaution to contain the corona pneumonia and from spreading over. “We will fight together. A friend in need is a friend in deed. We will win,” the Chinese Ambassador expressed gratitude towards Nepalis for showing their solidarity.

She said that highest level of medical treatment and services are given to the affected ones and the number of new cases has gone down gradually.

On the occasion, former Deputy Prime Minister and Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala said that China, as a very good friend of Nepal since time immemorial, makes it feel good from our solidarity and friendly gestures at this time.

She said that Nepalis and Nepal Government should learn love for the motherland by learning from China and the ways Chinese nationals are now working together. “I am fully convinced that China will overcome the battle against this deadly corona virus,” she shared her belief.

“We are with those who are suffering. This is not the problem of China but of the humankind and the whole world,” MP and former minister Ananda Pokharel said during the programme.

He also announced his readiness to support China with the team of volunteers if needed. No one should watch this situation from a side; this a crime against humanity, Pokharel argued.

On the occasion, former vice chairman of National Planning Commission Dr Shankar Raj Sharma said that China is getting success against corona virus outbreak through its efficient actions.

Lawmaker of House Of Representatives Yagya Raj Sunuwar said that Nepal is with China in its fight against corona virus pneumonia. He said that China’s strength to build a 1000-bed hospital in a week shows it is capable of containing the corona pneumonia outbreak.

Likewise, Chairman of Trans Himalayan Development Center Dr Kalyan Raj Sharma said that at this juncture of time, China is fighting against the Novel Coronavirus adding that Nepalis express their solidarity and support for China for its success for the decisive battle against coronavirus pneumonia.

“We wholeheartedly support China’s fight against the corona virus outbreak and we firmly believe that China will win the battle and tackle the problem very soon by eliminating this epidemic”, he said.

Famous singer Ani Choying Dolma was also among others to share her views in solidarity with China at this moment of struggle. She also highly praised the precautions and preventive measures taken by China to contain the corona pneumonia.

Earlier, Dr Dilip Sharma of Nepal Medical Council said that corona virus is not that panicking as it has been described to be but called for precautionary measures. He also said that the way China is fighting against this outbreak is going to yield good results soon.

Similarly, popular artist Manoj Gajurel said that good friends are evident during times of hardship. He recited a poem by expressing solidarity to China with the sense that the diseases are trans-border and called for a broader global views to look at the disease.
