Nepal Police became no 1 due to internal purification: IGP Khanal

Outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sarbendra Khanal has asserted that Nepal Police emerged to be number 1 organization due to internal purification.

IGP Khanal is retiring from today, completing 30-year of service in the institution.

Inaugurating the newly built auditorium at the Police Headquarters at Naxal, Kathmandu on the last day of his service, IGP Khanal reiterated that the Nepal Police shouldered its responsibilities with utmost integrity and diligence and did not give in to external influence and pressure.

Pledging to remain always active in anti-corruption activities and work for the betterment of society even after his retirement, Khanal also vowed to contribute to the police institution through his engagement in civic society.

Khanal claimed that he had left no stone unturned to boost the morale of the police officers as well as other security personnel during his leadership.

Meanwhile, the outgoing IGP inaugurated a building built at the premises of Metropolitan Police’s Samakhushi office.
