TIA Coffee shop on fire

A fire broke out at a coffee shop in the departure longue of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) this evening. The fire however has brought under control with the help of TIA fire engine.

The cause behind the fire is reported to be an electric short circuit. However, no casualties were reported.

TIA general manager Devendra KC shared that domestic and international flights would be suspended for half an hour. The service will resume after discussions with stakeholders, KC added.
