Police suspect murder of former secretary Karki

Nepal Police have suspected that former secretary Arjun Karki’s wife Muna might have been murdered.

A police officer of the Police Headquarters said that investigation was underway on the basis of cctv footage of the house as well as other evidences in suspicion of murder.

Muna, who was found unconscious at the kitchen of her house located at Sanepa of Lalitpur on Monday morning, died in course of treatment at Star hospital. She had deep head injury as well as bruise to the neck and hands, said doctors.

In the same incident, domestic helper for the Karki family, Bijay Chaudhary was found hanging in the dining room of the house. Former secretary Karki had gone for a morning walk during the incident.

As per preliminary investigation, Chaudhary was found involved in the murder. Police suspect that Chaudhary killed himself after murdering Muna.

Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Deputy Inspector General, Shailesh Thapa Chhetri, said that reason behind the incident has not been ascertained yet as investigation into the case was underway.

Superintendent of Police at the Metropolitan Police Range, Durga Karki, said that both the bodies have been sent to Patan Hospital for post-mortem and test is being carried out at forensic lab after collecting evidences including cctv footage.
