Lightning claims three

Three people died when they were struck by lightning in different places of Dang district on Saturday.

Gita Chaudhary’s seven-year-old daughter, Srishti and Laxmi Acharya died when lightning strike fell on the house of Gita in Tulasipur sub-metropolitan city-7, said the police. Both of them died while being treated at a local health facility.

Likewise, Tara, an eight-year-old son of Surya Bahadur Puri of Ghorahi sub metropolitan city-11 died after being struck by lightning while playing in the courtyard, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sumit Khadka. He breathed his last on the way to Rapti Sub Regional Hospital.
