NA passes condolence motion on former lawmaker’s demise

A meeting of the National Assembly today endorsed the condolence motion on the demise of former lawmaker Shreeram Shrestha. The motion tabled by NA Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina was endorsed by the session. Shrestha had been elected to the National Assembly in 2048 BS through the Nepali Congress.

Shrestha who had his significant contribution to every movements launched for the establishment of democracy and republic in the country, was the follower of a simple lifestyle. He had passed away on last Monday in course of treatment at the Lalitpur-based Nidan Hospital at the age of 80.

The NA shall meet again at 1:00 of February 6.
