Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said it is imperative to hold the 14th general convention of the party in the slated date in order to settle disputes plaguing the party. He argued that the party was suffering acute factionalism because the leadership violated the party statute.
Such dispute can be wiped out from the 14th general convention, he expressed hope while speaking at a press meet organized by Nepal Press Union in Birgunj on Tuesday. He underscored the need to abide by the workschedule released by the party. He further said there was no option but to hold the general convention to restore party’s clean image.
Leader Singh however refuted the media reports on dispute in the party. He asserted that false information was being disseminated to weaken the party.
On a different note, he said it was sheer failure of the government to make meagre capital expense.
