Circumstances led me to politics: CK Raut

Chairperson of Janamat Party Dr CK Raut has said that he became active in politics due to problems raised by circumstances. Speaking at a mass meeting organised by the party at Rajbiraj today, he said, "I joined politics not out of choice but due to the circumstance in the Madhesh."

Stating that the problems facing the Madhesh continue to exist, he said development and change in the Madhesh was not possible without politics. He also said that the Janamat Party was formed in order to realize the dream of a prosperous Madhesh and to ensure the rights of the Madhesi people.

He also accused the self-proclaimed Madhesh-centered parties of indulging in politics only as a means to power after having martyred 54 people in the name of Madhesh movement.
