Police hold human rights activists

The police briefly held 12 human rights activists who reached the President Office in Sheetal Niwas to protest the election of Agni Prasad Sapkota to Speaker of the House of Representatives.

A team from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj made the arrest of the right activities including Charan Prasain for forcing their way into the prohibited area, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Umesh Lamsal. President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sapkota earlier today.
