Driver killed in road accident

One person has died and 20 others injured in a road accident that took place at Bhadrakali Dhungebhanjyang in Kamalamai municipality-2 this morning. The accident involving a micro-bus (Ba. 4 Kha. 696) took place on the BP Highway, according to DSP at the District Police Office, Sindhuli Shyam Bahadur Khatri.

The deceased has been identified as Mohan Maharjan,38, of Kathmandu metropolis-11. He was the owner and driving the micro-bus when it fell some 35 meters below the road. High speed in dense fog is believed to the reason behind the accident.

The 20 passengers injured in the accident are undergoing treatment in various hospitals in Sindhuli.
