Sharma new chair of Tourist Bus Association

Iswar Sharma has been elected the Chair of the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TBAN). The 9th annual general meeting of the Association on Friday elected a seven-member executive committee led by Sharma.

Dhakanath Kafley has been elected the first vice-chair, Sushil Dahal the second vice-chair, Dipendra Adhikari the general secretary and Sujan Acharya the treasurer of the committee.

Speaking at the programme, spokesperson of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rundra Singh Tamang urged the tourist bus operators to provide efficient service to both domestic and foreign tourists.

At the event, RSS correspondent Achyut Regmi was honoured for his contribution to representing the tourist bus entrepreneurs and their call for a tourist bus park in Kathmandu. He was honoured with the Battukaji Memorial Journalism Prize carrying a purse of Rs. 15,000 and a letter of appreciation.
