Martadi-Kolti road open for traffic

The Martadi-Kolti road has opened for traffic after a month-long obstruction due to heavy snowfall. With support from Badimalika municipality, the Ward no. 7 office cleared the snow on the road to open it for public transportation.

The road had been blocked following accumulation of snow in the Paurakhe lekh and adjoining areas of the road. Heavy snowfall as well as rain had hit the road last month.

Traffic has resumed on the Martadi-Kolti road since Friday, said the ward chairperson Dharma Raj Padhyaya. A dozer was used to clear the snowfall. Daily public life had been severely hit, while daily essentials became scare in four local levels of the northern part of the district due to the continuous snowfall.
