Passing MCC detrimental, leader Rawal warns

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Sudurpaschim State In-Charge Bhim Rawal has warned again that it would be detrimental if millennium challenge corporation (MCC) was passed by the parliament. Addressing a cultural programme organized here on the occasion of Visit Nepal Year 2020 at Silgadhi on Wednesday, leader Rawal said it would be a huge loss to the country if the MCC was endorsed.

He urged everyone to study the MCC document thoroughly. He blamed that many leaders were for passage of the MCC without reading it properly. As the MCC is against the country and nationality, it must not be passed, he stressed.

"There are many places in Sudurpaschim State as Shaileshwori, Badikedar and Khaptad to attract thousands of tourists," he reminded.

On the occasion, Minister of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment at State, Maya Bhatta, said the Ministry was committed to making extensive publicity of various cultural and religious heritages in the State. It would help boost tourism, she hoped.

Dipayal Silgadhi municipality mayor Manju Malasi also said the municipality was preparing special plan for the development of tourism sector. "We’re committed to promoting tourism. We want to make this region known to world," she added.
