1st Int Curriculum Seminar on Hapkido to be organized in Pokhara from 25-26

The 1st edition of international Curriculum Seminar on Hapkido is going to be organized in Pokhara from January 25-26.

Hapkido is Korean martial arts which involves self-defense mixes strategies such as grappling, throwing, kicks and punches among others.

The seminar aims to introduced eclectic Korean martial arts in Nepal as well as breed aced Nepali players on this discipline who could compete in the international matches.

Organizing a press conference here today, it was shared that more than 600 players from 20 countries including the USA, Mexico, Russia, Switzerland, Spain and South Asian countries will participate in this competition.

Furthermore, their coaches, grand masters, officials among others will also attend the event.

South Asian Hapkido Federation’s President and also Nepal Martial Arts Hapkido Association’s President Kali Bahadur Gharti Magar, shared that all preparation in connection to the two-day seminar was in the final phase.

The event on this discipline of martial arts is being organized in the country for the first time. Players from 41 districts are vying in the competition.

Austrian grand master Gerhard Agrinz expressed his happiness that the event was going to be held in Nepal for the first time. According to him, Hopkido, which was espoused in South Korea, was gaining popularity lately and was being played in Europe and many Asian countries too.
