Separate standard for separate grade of cement

The Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology has developed separate standard for 43 and 53 grade cement. The 102nd meeting of Nepal Standard Council has approved a new standard for 43 and 53 grade cement.

Prior to this, the standard of all grade of cement was the same. A meeting held under the chairmanship of Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Lekhraj Bhatta endorsed the amendment to the Nepal Standard on Friday.

Director General of NBSM Biswa Babu Pudasaini said that a standard has been set for 33 grade and another for 43 and 53 grade cement. Along with the new decision, the industrialists fulfilling the standard can label cement 43 and 53 grade.
