Government effortful to transform lives of freed Haliyas
Minister for Land Management, Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal shared special package will be introduced targeting freed Haliyas.
Addressing a programme to hand over well-managed settlement to Haliya at Bhimdutta municipality-19 Bagphanta in Kanchanpur today, Minsiter Aryal said the government was in the campaign to elevate the poor status of the previous bonded labourers.
"Livelihood could not be sustained by merely handing them a house with congested room. The government will support them with the execution of various skill enhancement programme".
