Three killed in separate road incidents

Three persons died in separate road accidents in Chitwan and Makawanpur districts today.

Two persons who were injured in road accident at Ramanagar of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 this morning died in course of treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.

According to the District Police Office, identities of the deceased have not been ascertained yet.

Similarly, 21 others injured in the road accident are receiving treatment at different hospitals. Of the injured, 13 are Chinese nationals and they are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College and remaining eight at Old Medical College.

Other 10 injured have returned home after treatment. At least 33 people were injured when a tourist bus (Ba 1 Pa 783) heading towards Sauraha and a truck (Lu 2 Kha 3305) collided at Ramnagar of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 today morning.

Meanwhile, a person died after he was hit by a truck at Hetauda sub-metropolitan city. The deceased has been identified as Ambar Pun Magar of Ratnanagar, according to the District Police Office.

The accident took place when a truck (Na 6 Kha 656) heading towards Chitwan from Hetauda hit Ambar. Critically injured in the incident, Ambar died in course of treatment at Hetauda Hospital.

Police have started further investigation into the case by arresting the truck driver and impounding the vehicle.
