Namaste Khwopa Television launched

Namaste Khwopa Television has formally come into operation.

Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Parbat Gurung inaugurated the Television amid a function at Gaththaghar in Bhaktapur today.

Addressing the event, the minister expressed the hope that this television would help expose and promote Bhaktapur to the world.

On the occasion, he also honoured journalist and litterateur Ramesh Giri, Bhaktapur correspondent of Rastriya Samachar Samiti for his contribution to literature and journalism. Pointing out that local government has prioritised development activities, he asked all Nepalis including journalists to help in this regard.

Similarly, lawmaker Mahesh Basnet and Bagmati State Assembly members Dr Rajendra Man Shrestha and Shashi Jung Thapa pointed out the need for media to be responsible to the society and state.
