The government Spokesperson has said the government cannot tolerate the destructive activities carried out by Biplav-led outfit, concluding that they were operated in the terroristic manner.
The government has termed the party’s activities to seize the land of Baluwatar-based Lalita Niwas and explode bomb at an individual’s house at Dhungedhara on Wednesday as a terror act.
At a press meet organized at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on Thursday, Spokesperson Gokul Prasad Banskota said that the government’s prior decision to impose a ban on the party’s activities is justified with the recent activities of the Biplav-led group party. "We had already said that since the acts are done in hideouts, the activities of Biplav group, is a terror act. This is a terrorist style. This does not do well for them," Banskota warned.
Minister Banskota condemned the destructive activities of the Biplav-led group and pointed out the need of resolving difference through legal process.
According to him, the government was itself investigating into Baluwatar land scam and the Biplav-led faction did that act to claim itself powerful by spreading rumor over the issue that has drawn public interests.
Minister Banskota urged Biplav to join peaceful process. He said that the public property was damaged by the Biplav-led party which could not be tolerated. Biplav-led party’s some leaders have left the party and come into peace process, therefore, Biplav also should come in peaceful politics, Banskota added.
No threat to Rawal
On another note, the Spokesperson said that there was no security threat at all to ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader Bhim Rawal. "Who threatened him," he wondered, urging him to report the government. Banskota argued that the leader Rawal had also security persons for guarding him. So, threat to him is false.
Deputy Governor Shrestha gets clean chit
Deputy Governor at Nepal Rastra Bank, Shivaraj Shrestha, has been given clean chit by the probe committee. A committee formed to probe into his activities to know whether they jeopardized financial sector found nothing wrong, informed Spokesperson Banskota.
NCP, NC like brother for development
The Spokesperson reminded that the process to accept the financial assistance under the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) had begun a decade back. He urged all concerned not to link MCC to any political agenda. The US government has agreed to provide assistance with due process, he mentioned. Different leaders were in the position to take decision to accept the MCC assistance.
In the prosperity campaign, both the ruling NCP and major opposition Nepali Congress were like brothers. "Not only NC but also other parties are together for development irrespective of the thoughts," he observed.
