Leader Poudel calls for making NC people’s party

Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel on Sunday stressed the need for making the NC a people’s party.

"NC should be strengthened to safeguard democracy and constitution and maintain good governance," he said calling for the NC to attract those disgruntled with the incumbent government. He was receiving a memorandum from the Democratic Thought Society amid a programme here.

He also called for organising party’s 14th General Convention in line with the Party’s statute.

On the occasion, leader Prakash Man Singh pointed out that the NC leadership should follow party statute for it to come stronger.

Central member Dr Ram Sharan Mahat accused the incumbent government of failure to deliver activities as expected by the people.

He stressed the need for a good leadership to make party reforms, saying the party was at work to implement the statute.
