Court’s directive orders for welfare nation: CJ Rana

Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana has opined for implementing directive orders as they were for establishing the well fare nation state.

Speaking in an interaction on role of concerned authorities regarding the implementation of directive orders issued by the court organized at the Supreme Court here today, chief justice Rana said that such orders have the objectives of preserving citizens’ rights, national development and alerting the government.

Supreme Court Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut said that such directives were not to create difficulties to the government however; they were to protect citizens’ rights. Chief secretary Lok Darshan Regmi said that there was no alternate to implement decisions and orders issued by the courts. He added that the government was prioritizing to implement such directives but some were delayed due to some causes.

Similarly, Chief Registrar Nripadwaj Niraula said that the courts’ decisions were to make government activities effective and to fill the legal vacuum.

Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Shishir Kumar Dhungana committed not to occur any resources crisis to implement the directive orders.

Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Dilliraj Ghimire shared that the PM’s office has formed a separate committee to implement such orders.

Secretary at the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Rajib Gautam and Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Kedar Bahadur Adhikari opined that the implementation of such directives were delayed as coordination with various related bodies was essential while implementing such orders.

The interaction was held with the secretaries at the concerned Ministries.
