EC updating voters list
The Election Commission (EC) held discussion with chiefs and representatives of major political parties regarding collecting voters list and implementing periodic special programme-2076.
The EC held discussion with political parties on Monday after the activity to update the voters list could not be effective even after activity to collect voters list from 77 district returning offices, 77 district administrative offices and determined 38 area administrative offices has been continued.
The EC has launched voter list collection and updating special programme from February 17 to mid -July 2020.
On the occasion, Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya expected active and effective role from political parties to collect voter name list without any mistake and to carry out voter name list updating task in a smooth and easy manner.
Representatives of political parties also expressed their commitment to help EC in this task.
