Cooperation between govt, citizen stressed to face COVID-19

Intellectuals associated with the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have said state should be sensitive to citizens while citizens’ discipline is must for unity and cooperation to brave the COVID-19.

Reminding that the governments and citizens in various countries had adopted cooperation with utmost discipline and proper plan, they argued the cooperation would result in success.

Coordinator of the Intellectuals Organization, Dr Dinesh Chandra Devkota and Joint Coordinator Krishna KC issued a press release and urged the government to be more active for citizen’s health check up and supply of essential goods. "The risk can be minimized with government’s proper plan and practical decisions. The government decisions should be abided by the citizen," they reminded, appealing to all citizens to stay alert on the global pandemic.

Similarly, Devkota and KC stressed that as the aware people the intellectual should help disseminate fact-based news and information. "At a time of need, it is our responsibility to cooperate with government," they stressed.
