Tripurasundari is a Municipality, which is located in Dolpa district, Karnali Province of Nepal. Tripurasundari has total 11 wards, which are scattered across 394 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Tripurasundari Municipality had total population of 10,104.

Wardwise Population and Households

As per 2011 population census, Tripurasundari Municipality had total 10,104 population with 4,966 males and 5,138 females. Out of total wards, ward number 2 had the largest population 1,433, while ward number 6 had least number of population with 1,433.

With respect to number of households, Tripurasundari Municipality had total 1,944 households. The ward number 2 had most households with total 280, while ward number 6 had least number of households with total 86 number of households.

As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.97, which indicates that Tripurasundari Municipality had 3 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 5.20, which means that in average 5.20 family members lived in each household.

Absentee Population

Gender wise, top 5 most age groups male population were below 4 (766), between 5 and 9 (741), between 10 and 14 (676), between 15 and 19 (452), and between 20 and 24 (391), with total population of 3,026. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (30), between 70 and 74 (37), between 65 and 69 (66),between 60 and 64 (128), and between 55 and 59 (157), with total population of 418. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were below 4 (753), between 5 and 9 (750), between 10 and 14 (719), between 15 and 19 (505), and between 20 and 24 (480), with total population of 3,207. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (20), between 70 and 74 (33), between 65 and 69 (65),between 60 and 64 (133), and between 55 and 59 (151), with total population of 402.

The population with age-group above 75 had male to female ratio of 1.50, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 20 to 24 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.81. The age-groups above 75, 25 to 29, 70 to 74, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, below 4, 65 to 69, 40 to 44 had majority of male population while age-groups 5 to 9, 60 to 64, 45 to 49, 10 to 14, 35 to 39, 15 to 19, 30 to 34, 20 to 24 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 2.48 % with total number of 251. As such, total dependent population including children and elderly people were 46.08 with total number of 4,656

There were 2,350 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 1,519. The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 646 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

Grade 1-12 Students & Schools

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 618 in Tripurasundari Municipality with 314 (50.81%) of males and 304 (49.19%) females. There were total 34 schools. In average, 18 students were studying in each school.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 8 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 15 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 66 houses had roof of tile, 3 houses had RCC roofs, 4 houses had roof of woods while 1,834 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 619 out of 1,944 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 1,036 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 282 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

Utilities

In Tripurasundari Municipality, there were total 1,186 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 0 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 0 houses had covered well while 1 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell.
