Tadi is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Nuwakot district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Tadi has total 6 wards, which are scattered across 70 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Tadi Rural Municipality had total population of 17,932.

As of 2011, 530 population in Tadi Rural Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 2.96 percent of the total population. Absence of males was 395, which equals to 4.40 percent of total 8,977 males. Same as, 135 females were absent, which equals to 1.51 percent of 8,955 females. At least one member of 427 (11.92 percent) households were absent.

Gender wise, top 5 most age groups male population were between 10 and 14 (1,205), between 15 and 19 (1,091), between 5 and 9 (955), below 4 (713), and between 20 and 24 (673), with total population of 4,637. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (213), between 65 and 69 (228), above 75 (320),between 55 and 59 (342), and between 60 and 64 (350), with total population of 1,453. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 10 and 14 (1,234), between 15 and 19 (1,076), between 5 and 9 (941), between 20 and 24 (676), and below 4 (651), with total population of 4,578. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 65 and 69 (207), between 70 and 74 (225), between 55 and 59 (284),between 60 and 64 (312), and above 75 (325), with total population of 1,353.

The population with age-group 55 to 59 had male to female ratio of 1.20, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 30 to 34 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.87. The age-groups 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 45 to 49, below 4, 65 to 69, 50 to 54, 5 to 9, 15 to 19 had majority of male population while age-groups 40 to 44, 10 to 14, above 75, 70 to 74, 25 to 29, 35 to 39, 30 to 34 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups 20 to 24 had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

There were 59.75 % (10,715 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 31.78 % with total number of 5,699. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 8.47 % with total number of 1,518. As such, total dependent population including children and elderly people were 40.25 with total number of 7,217

There were 4,368 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 1,364. The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 312 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 6,530 in Tadi Rural Municipality with 3,213 (49.20%) of males and 3,317 (50.80%) females. There were total 36 schools. In average, 181 students were studying in each school.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Tadi Rural Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Tamang caste with total population of 10,084. There were as little as Terai Others caste with population of as little as 15 in total. People of several other castes who live in Tadi are Chhetri, Brahmin - Hill, Newar, Kami, Damai/Dholi, Danuwar, Gurung, Gharti/Bhujel, Sherpa, Dalit Others, Magar, Sarki, Terai Others, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Top five castes of people in Tadi Rural Municipality are Tamang (10,084), Chhetri (2,804), Brahmin - Hill (2,285), Newar (1,112) and Kami (646) with total population of 16,931, which forms 94.42 percent out of total population of 17,932 in Tadi Rural Municipality.

Out of total population of 17,932, there were total 328 (1.83%) disabled persons in Tadi Rural Municipality with 189 (57.62%) males and 139 (42.38%) females. The physically disabled persons were 100, while mentally disabled people were 19 and intellectually disabled were 4.

Similarly, there were 73 people who were blind and 35 people were deaf, while 12 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 48 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 37 people had multiple disabilities.

Out of total 3582 households in Tadi Rural Municipality, there were 3,494 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 36 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 4 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 16houses were founded on wood.

With respect to wall of the houses, 3,448 houses were mud bonded, 82 houses were cement bonded, 6 houses were wood planks bonded, 11 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 516 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 1,957 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 1,049 houses had roof of tile, 22 houses had RCC roofs, 0 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 2,029 out of 3,582 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 965 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 570 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

In Tadi Rural Municipality, there were total 3,342 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 7 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 6 houses had covered well while 102 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. Other resources of water facilities were spout water (86) and river stream (17), which were reported of the household's source of water.

With reference to source of fuel, 3,480 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 13 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 62 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (2), bio-gas (4), fuel electricity (1), etc.

Same as, total 2,799 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 535, while 3 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.78.

out of 3,582 households in Tadi Rural Municipality, 661 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,697 households reported of using at least one facility. Households using at least one facility, such as radio, television, internet, etc. have been illustrated in the table below.Radio was used by the maximum households with total users of 2,270, while MobilePhone was the next mostly used facilities with total household users of 1,800.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 564 establishments in Tadi Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,614 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 930 and female engagement of 684 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.86 people engaged with average males are 1.65 and females are 1.21. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.36, which means as many as 1.36 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
