Sisne Rural Municipality (Rukum_E) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Sisne Rural Municipality (Rukum_E district), candidate Kumari Baral (gautam) of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 3,296 (55.87%) votes out of total votes of 5,899 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Nanda Lal Sharma of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) who secured 2,471 (26.87%) of votes. The rest of 5 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 132 (1.12) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Govardhan Budha of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 3,326 (59.74%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Laxiram Gharti of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 2,167 (24.37%) of votes and came in second position. Other 1 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 74 (0.66) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 110 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 66 (60.00%) males and 44 (40.00%) females. Moreover, there were total 22 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 8 wards. Same as, total 40 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 19 females and 19 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
