Siranchowk Rural Municipality (Gorkha) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Siranchowk Rural Municipality (Gorkha district), candidate Raju Gurung of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,402 (34.51%) votes out of total votes of 9,859 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Nawaraj Pudaisaini of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) who secured 3,235 (24.39%) of votes. The rest of 5 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 3,222 (16.34) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Rita Devkota of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,411 (35.39%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Dipa Gurung of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 3,236 (24.80%) of votes and came in second position. Other 3 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 2,992 (15.52) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 174 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 103 (59.20%) males and 71 (40.80%) females. Moreover, there were total 35 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 8 wards. Same as, total 63 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 32 females and 32 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
