Siddhalek is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Dhading district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Siddhalek has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 106 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Siddhalek Rural Municipality had total population of 33,729.

As of 2011, 1,530 population in Siddhalek Rural Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 4.54 percent of the total population. Absence of males was 1,407, which equals to 12.83 percent of total 10,965 males. Same as, 123 females were absent, which equals to 0.96 percent of 12,764 females. At least one member of 1,227 (23.88 percent) households were absent.

Gender wise, top 5 most age groups male population were between 10 and 14 (1,699), between 5 and 9 (1,408), between 15 and 19 (1,270), below 4 (1,078), and between 20 and 24 (611), with total population of 6,066. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (213), between 65 and 69 (344), above 75 (360),between 60 and 64 (404), and between 55 and 59 (411), with total population of 1,732. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 10 and 14 (1,725), between 15 and 19 (1,595), between 5 and 9 (1,380), between 20 and 24 (1,135), and below 4 (993), with total population of 6,828. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (220), between 60 and 64 (337), between 65 and 69 (337),above 75 (368), and between 55 and 59 (401), with total population of 1,663.

The population with age-group 60 to 64 had male to female ratio of 1.20, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 20 to 24 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.54. The age-groups 60 to 64, below 4, 50 to 54, 5 to 9, 55 to 59, 65 to 69 had majority of male population while age-groups 10 to 14, above 75, 70 to 74, 45 to 49, 15 to 19, 40 to 44, 35 to 39, 30 to 34, 25 to 29, 20 to 24 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

There were 40.33 % (13,604 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 24.56 % with total number of 8,283. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 5.46 % with total number of 1,842. As such, total dependent population including children and elderly people were 30.02 with total number of 10,125

There were 6,486 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 2,071. The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 319 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 5,090 in Siddhalek Rural Municipality with 2,354 (46.25%) of males and 2,736 (53.75%) females. There were total 52 schools. In average, 98 students were studying in each school.

There were as little as Muslim caste with population of as little as 14 in total. People of several other castes who live in Siddhalek are Brahmin - Hill, Newar, Sarki, Chhetri, Ghale, Kami, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Damai/Dholi, Gurung, Gharti/Bhujel, Tamang, Majhi, Thakuri, Brahmu/Baramo, Chepang/Praja, Gaine, Rai, Terai Others, Limbu, Muslim, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Top five castes of people in Siddhalek Rural Municipality are Magar (4,659), Brahmin - Hill (4,338), Newar (3,922), Sarki (2,265) and Chhetri (1,676) with total population of 16,860, which forms 49.99 percent out of total population of 33,729 in Siddhalek Rural Municipality.

Out of total population of 23,729, there were total 678 (2.86%) disabled persons in Siddhalek Rural Municipality with 367 (54.13%) males and 311 (45.87%) females. The physically disabled persons were 232, while mentally disabled people were 27 and intellectually disabled were 50.

Similarly, there were 110 people who were blind and 94 people were deaf, while 8 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 62 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 95 people had multiple disabilities.

Out of total 5138 households in Siddhalek Rural Municipality, there were 4,943 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 61 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 58 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 34houses were founded on wood.

With respect to wall of the houses, 4,853 houses were mud bonded, 185 houses were cement bonded, 28 houses were wood planks bonded, 20 houses were bamboo bonded and 2 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 572 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 1,268 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 3,151 houses had roof of tile, 93 houses had RCC roofs, 3 houses had roof of woods while 1 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 1,461 out of 5,138 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 2,480 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 1,166 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

In Siddhalek Rural Municipality, there were total 4,193 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 0 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 64 houses had covered well while 183 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. Other resources of water facilities were spout water (610) and river stream (55), which were reported of the household's source of water.

With reference to source of fuel, 4,644 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 10 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 115 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (0), bio-gas (333), fuel electricity (3), etc.

Same as, total 3,965 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 807, while 158 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.77.

out of 5,138 households in Siddhalek Rural Municipality, 760 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 4,292 households reported of using at least one facility. Households using at least one facility, such as radio, television, internet, etc. have been illustrated in the table below.Radio was used by the maximum households with total users of 3,385, while MobilePhone was the next mostly used facilities with total household users of 3,320.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 682 establishments in Siddhalek Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 7,010 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 3,821 and female engagement of 3,189 persons.In every business, there were an average of 10.28 people engaged with average males are 5.60 and females are 4.68. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.20, which means as many as 1.20 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
