Siddhalek Rural Municipality (Dhading) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Siddhalek Rural Municipality (Dhading district), candidate Prem Nath Silwal of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 5,607 (49.13%) votes out of total votes of 11,413 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Badri Prasad Aryal of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 3,682 (21.63%) of votes. The rest of 3 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 2,124 (9.31) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Kamala Sharma of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 5,544 (49.29%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Laxmi Silwal of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,865 (23.02%) of votes and came in second position. Other 3 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 1,838 (8.17) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 128 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 78 (60.94%) males and 50 (39.06%) females. Moreover, there were total 31 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 7 wards. Same as, total 44 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 22 females and 21 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
