Rajdevi is a Municipality, which is located in Rautahat district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Rajdevi has total 9 wards, which are scattered across 28 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Rajdevi Municipality had total population of 31,292.

As of 2011, 232 population in Rajdevi Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 0.74 percent of the total population. Absence of males was 225, which equals to 1.41 percent of total 15,998 males. Same as, 7 females were absent, which equals to 0.05 percent of 14,571 females. At least one member of 200 (3.73 percent) households were absent.

In terms of age, the largest population in Rajdevi Municipality were between 5 and 9 years of age with total 4,469. Gender wise, there were 2,296 males and 2,173 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was above 75 with total 333 population, which consistes of 171 males and 162 females. Top 5 most populated age groups were between 5 and 9 (4,469), between 10 and 14 (4,015), below 4 (3,721), between 15 and 19 (2,728), between 25 and 29 (2,313) with total population of 17,246. The median age-group of total population falls between 35 and 39 and between 40 and 44 with average population of 1,779.

Gender wise, top 5 most age groups male population were between 5 and 9 (2,296), between 10 and 14 (2,077), below 4 (1,878), between 15 and 19 (1,562), and between 20 and 24 (1,232), with total population of 9,045. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (171), between 70 and 74 (295), between 65 and 69 (367),between 55 and 59 (403), and between 60 and 64 (438), with total population of 1,674. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 5 and 9 (2,173), between 10 and 14 (1,938), below 4 (1,843), between 15 and 19 (1,166), and between 30 and 34 (1,144), with total population of 8,264. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (162), between 70 and 74 (245), between 65 and 69 (358),between 50 and 54 (393), and between 60 and 64 (409), with total population of 1,567.

The population with age-group 15 to 19 had male to female ratio of 1.34, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 30 to 34 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.89. The age-groups 15 to 19, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 70 to 74, 50 to 54, 20 to 24, 35 to 39, 10 to 14, 60 to 64, 5 to 9, 25 to 29, above 75, 65 to 69, below 4 had majority of male population while age-groups 55 to 59, 30 to 34 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

There were 53.58 % (16,766 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 39.00 % with total number of 12,205. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 5.11 % with total number of 1,598. As such, total dependent population including children and elderly people were 44.11 with total number of 13,803

There were 6,629 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 3,721. The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 561 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 6,681 in Rajdevi Municipality with 3,228 (48.32%) of males and 3,453 (51.68%) females. There were total 24 schools. In average, 278 students were studying in each school.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Rajdevi Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Yadav caste with total population of 5,130. There were as little as Badi caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Rajdevi are Teli, Kurmi, Tatma/Tatwa, Kanu, Nuniya, Chamar/Harijan/Ram, Muslim, Rajput, Kalwar, Kumhar, Brahmin - Tarai, Dhobi, Dusadh/Pasawan/Pasi, Lohar, Hajam/Thakur, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Brahmin - Hill, Kahar, Kayastha, Dhanuk, Mallaha, Bin, Musahar, Mali, Darai, Koiri/Kushwaha, Kathbaniyan, Baraee, Sonar, Dalit Others, Chhetri, Yakkha, Kewat, Gaderi/Bhedhar, Terai Others, Haluwai, Rai, Undefined Others, Dom, Newar, Badi, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Top five castes of people in Rajdevi Municipality are Yadav (5,130), Teli (2,822), Kurmi (2,124), Tatma/Tatwa (2,079) and Kanu (1,861) with total population of 14,016, which forms 44.79 percent out of total population of 31,292 in Rajdevi Municipality.

Out of total population of 30,569, there were total 260 (0.85%) disabled persons in Rajdevi Municipality with 164 (63.08%) males and 96 (36.92%) females. The physically disabled persons were 112, while mentally disabled people were 22 and intellectually disabled were 4.

Similarly, there were 51 people who were blind and 26 people were deaf, while 3 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 34 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 8 people had multiple disabilities.

Out of total 5365 households in Rajdevi Municipality, there were 595 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 1,111 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 63 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 3,055houses were founded on wood.

With respect to wall of the houses, 321 houses were mud bonded, 1,051 houses were cement bonded, 71 houses were wood planks bonded, 3,274 houses were bamboo bonded and 24 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,937 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 24 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 2,512 houses had roof of tile, 552 houses had RCC roofs, 48 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 4,080 out of 5,365 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 489 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 712 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

In Rajdevi Municipality, there were total 439 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 4,716 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 7 houses had covered well while 42 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. Other resources of water facilities were spout water (1) and river stream (1), which were reported of the household's source of water.

With reference to source of fuel, 2,106 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 151 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 59 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (2,957), bio-gas (5), fuel electricity (0), etc.

Same as, total 2,147 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 3,115, while 5 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.40.

out of 5,365 households in Rajdevi Municipality, 980 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 4,274 households reported of using at least one facility. Households using at least one facility, such as radio, television, internet, etc. have been illustrated in the table below.Bicycle was used by the maximum households with total users of 3,645, while MobilePhone was the next mostly used facilities with total household users of 2,602.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 307 establishments in Rajdevi Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 703 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 519 and female engagement of 184 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.29 people engaged with average males are 1.69 and females are 0.60. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 2.82, which means as many as 2.82 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
