Parsagadhi Municipality (Parsa) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Parsagadhi Municipality (Parsa district), candidate Lok Narayan Yadav of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,965 (30.64%) votes out of total votes of 12,942 and was elected as a Mayor. The first runner-up candidate was Gokarna Pathak of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) who secured 3,898 (23.06%) of votes. The rest of 8 candidates for the position of Mayor secured combined 5,079 (19.62) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Deputy Mayor, candidate Archana Chaudhary of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 4,559 (35.75%) and was elected as a Deputy Mayor, while Kali Devi Chaudhary of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 3,650 (21.08%) of votes and came in second position. Other 7 candidates who contested for Deputy Mayor secured combined 4,545 (17.82) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 236 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 141 (59.75%) males and 95 (40.25%) females. Moreover, there were total 49 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 9 wards. Same as, total 85 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 44 females and 39 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
