There were 37,641 votes casted during 1999 House of Representatives elections in Palpa District, Constituency No. 3. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Yadav Bahadur Rayamajhi secured 18,068 (48.00%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Bhagawoti Dhoj Rajlawat of Nepali Congress Party who secured 16,716 (44.41%) votes and came in second position.
