There were 45,540 votes casted during 1994 House of Representatives elections in Nawalparasi District, Constituency No. 2. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Majhi Lal Tharu Thanet secured 21,388 (46.97%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Surya Bhakta Adhikari of Nepali Congress Party who secured 18,471 (40.56%) votes and came in second position.
