Namobuddha is a Municipality, which is located in Kavrepalanchok district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Namobuddha has total 11 wards, which are scattered across 102 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Namobuddha Municipality had total population of 29,519.

As of 2011, 1,309 population in Namobuddha Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 4.43 percent of the total population. Absence of males was 1,155, which equals to 8.49 percent of total 13,604 males. Same as, 154 females were absent, which equals to 0.97 percent of 15,915 females. At least one member of 1,053 (15.99 percent) households were absent.

In terms of age, the largest population in Namobuddha Municipality were between 10 and 14 years of age with total 3,791. However, gender wise largest population age group differs from the total population, such as largest male population falls between 10 and 14 with total 1,839 while female population falls between 15 and 19 with total 2,003 population. The least populated age group was between 70 and 74 with total 627 population, which consistes of 310 males and 317 females. Top 5 most populated age groups were between 10 and 14 (3,791), between 15 and 19 (3,610), between 5 and 9 (2,921), between 20 and 24 (2,494), below 4 (2,170) with total population of 14,986. In contrast, bottom 5 least populated age groups were between 70 and 74 (627), above 75 (751), between 65 and 69 (875), between 60 and 64 (996), and between 55 and 59 (1,159) with total population of 4,408. The median age-group of total population falls between 35 and 39 and between 40 and 44 with average population of 1,656.

Gender wise, top 5 most age groups male population were between 10 and 14 (1,839), between 15 and 19 (1,607), between 5 and 9 (1,426), below 4 (1,128), and between 20 and 24 (1,026), with total population of 7,026. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (310), above 75 (360), between 65 and 69 (420),between 60 and 64 (464), and between 55 and 59 (590), with total population of 2,144. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 15 and 19 (2,003), between 10 and 14 (1,952), between 5 and 9 (1,495), between 20 and 24 (1,468), and between 25 and 29 (1,225), with total population of 8,143. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (317), above 75 (391), between 65 and 69 (455),between 60 and 64 (532), and between 55 and 59 (569), with total population of 2,264.

The population with age-group below 4 had male to female ratio of 1.08, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 25 to 29 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.67. The age-groups below 4, 55 to 59 had majority of male population while age-groups 70 to 74, 5 to 9, 10 to 14, 50 to 54, 65 to 69, above 75, 45 to 49, 60 to 64, 15 to 19, 35 to 39, 30 to 34, 40 to 44, 20 to 24, 25 to 29 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

There were 62.28 % (18,384 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 30.09 % with total number of 8,882. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 7.63 % with total number of 2,253. As such, total dependent population including children and elderly people were 37.72 with total number of 11,135

There were 8,402 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 2,170. The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 258 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 4,045 in Namobuddha Municipality with 1,854 (45.83%) of males and 2,191 (54.17%) females. There were total 55 schools. In average, 74 students were studying in each school.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Namobuddha Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Tamang caste with total population of 12,938. There were as little as Terai Others caste with population of as little as 27 in total. People of several other castes who live in Namobuddha are Brahmin - Hill, Newar, Chhetri, Kami, Sarki, Damai/Dholi, Magar, Gharti/Bhujel, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Sunuwar, Danuwar, Dalit Others, Terai Others, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Top five castes of people in Namobuddha Municipality are Tamang (12,938), Brahmin - Hill (7,323), Newar (3,543), Chhetri (2,392) and Kami (920) with total population of 27,116, which forms 91.86 percent out of total population of 29,519 in Namobuddha Municipality.

Out of total population of 29,519, there were total 461 (1.56%) disabled persons in Namobuddha Municipality with 265 (57.48%) males and 196 (42.52%) females. The physically disabled persons were 156, while mentally disabled people were 36 and intellectually disabled were 14.

Similarly, there were 72 people who were blind and 45 people were deaf, while 17 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 71 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 50 people had multiple disabilities.

Out of total 6584 households in Namobuddha Municipality, there were 6,207 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 159 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 59 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 23houses were founded on wood.

With respect to wall of the houses, 5,843 houses were mud bonded, 249 houses were cement bonded, 19 houses were wood planks bonded, 6 houses were bamboo bonded and 303 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 341 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 4,690 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 1,271 houses had roof of tile, 179 houses had RCC roofs, 12 houses had roof of woods while 23 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 2,431 out of 6,584 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 2,638 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 1,478 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

In Namobuddha Municipality, there were total 3,940 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 13 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 812 houses had covered well while 1,332 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. Other resources of water facilities were spout water (414) and river stream (23), which were reported of the household's source of water.

With reference to source of fuel, 5,811 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 18 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 324 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (2), bio-gas (385), fuel electricity (3), etc.

Same as, total 6,139 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 354, while 45 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.93.

out of 6,584 households in Namobuddha Municipality, 650 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 5,692 households reported of using at least one facility. Households using at least one facility, such as radio, television, internet, etc. have been illustrated in the table below.MobilePhone was used by the maximum households with total users of 4,251, while Radio was the next mostly used facilities with total household users of 3,883.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,021 establishments in Namobuddha Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 3,134 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,991 and female engagement of 1,143 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.07 people engaged with average males are 1.95 and females are 1.12. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.74, which means as many as 1.74 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
