Mukhiyapatti Musaharmiya Rural Municipality (Dhanusa) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Mukhiyapatti Musaharmiya Rural Municipality (Dhanusa district), candidate Manoj Kumar Yadav of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 3,540 (40.77%) votes out of total votes of 8,682 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Rambabu Yadav of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 1,992 (16.30%) of votes. The rest of 12 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 3,150 (18.14) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Mira Devi Mahato of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 3,527 (41.63%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Anita Kumari of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 1,988 (16.57%) of votes and came in second position. Other 6 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 2,958 (17.46) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 147 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 96 (65.31%) males and 51 (34.69%) females. Moreover, there were total 32 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 6 wards. Same as, total 50 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 22 females and 21 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
