Mugu – 1 | 1999 House of Representatives Election Results

There were 20,864 votes casted during 1999 House of Representatives elections in Mugu District, Constituency No. 1. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Chandra Bahadur Shahi secured 11,134 (53.36%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Karme Jaishy of Nepali Congress Party who secured 8,701 (41.70%) votes and came in second position. The difference in votes of Chandra Bahadur Shahi and Karme Jaishy was 2,433. All other candidates secured 1,029 (4.93%) votes.
