Morang – 3 | 2008 Constituent Assembly Election Results

There were 38,970 votes casted during 2008 Constituent Assembly elections in Morang District, Constituency No. 3. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) - Sabitri Kumar Kafle secured 15,863 (40.71%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Satya Narayan Bhagat Tharu of Nepali Congress Party who secured 12,626 (32.40%) votes and came in second position. The difference in votes of Sabitri Kumar Kafle and Satya Narayan Bhagat Tharu was 3,237. All other candidates secured 10,481 (26.90%) votes.

As illustrated in the pie-chart above, the candidates who lost the election secured 23,107 (59.29%) votes as compared to votes secured by elected candidate Sabitri Kumar Kafle, which was 15,863 (40.71%) votes.
