Manang Nesyang Rural Municipality (Manang) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Manang Nesyang Rural Municipality (Manang district), candidate Kancha Ghale of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 627 (56.18%) votes out of total votes of 1,116 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Binod Gurung of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 461 (26.45%) of votes. The rest of 1 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 28 (1.25) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Menkhu Gurung (lama) of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 611 (54.75%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Tshering Ongma Gurung (ghale) of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 505 (29.24%) of votes and came in second position. Other 0 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined () of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 79 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 55 (69.62%) males and 24 (30.38%) females. Moreover, there were total 17 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 9 wards. Same as, total 35 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 16 females and 6 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
