Laxmipur Patari is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Siraha district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Laxmipur Patari has total 6 wards, which are scattered across 42 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality had total population of 26,913.

Wardwise Population and Households

As per 2011 population census, Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality had total 28,054 population with 13,528 males and 14,526 females. Out of total wards, ward number 6 had the largest population 5,937, while ward number 2 had least number of population with 5,937.

With respect to number of households, Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality had total 4,830 households. The ward number 6 had most households with total 1,095, while ward number 2 had least number of households with total 645 number of households.

As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.93, which indicates that Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality had 7 percent lower males as compared to the females. In terms of age, the largest population in Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality were between 10 and 14 years of age with total 4,005. Gender wise, top 5 most age groups male population were between 5 and 9 (2,043), between 10 and 14 (2,038), below 4 (1,644), between 15 and 19 (1,279), and between 25 and 29 (833), with total population of 7,837. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (167), between 70 and 74 (188), between 65 and 69 (330),between 60 and 64 (414), and between 50 and 54 (543), with total population of 1,642. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 10 and 14 (1,967), between 5 and 9 (1,958), below 4 (1,600), between 15 and 19 (1,201), and between 20 and 24 (1,163), with total population of 7,889. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (192), above 75 (255), between 65 and 69 (301),between 60 and 64 (429), and between 55 and 59 (475), with total population of 1,652.

The population with age-group 55 to 59 had male to female ratio of 1.16, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 30 to 34 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.62. The age-groups 55 to 59, 65 to 69, 15 to 19, 5 to 9, 10 to 14, below 4 had majority of male population while age-groups 45 to 49, 70 to 74, 50 to 54, 60 to 64, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 25 to 29, 20 to 24, above 75, 30 to 34 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 5.32 % with total number of 1,433. There were 6,791 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 3,244. The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 478 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

Grade 1-12 Students & Schools

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 17,447 in Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality with 9,066 (51.96%) of males and 8,381 (48.04%) females. There were total 24 schools. In average, 727 students were studying in each school.

Top five castes of people in Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality are Yadav (6,206), Tatma/Tatwa (2,143), Muslim (2,064), Teli (1,961) and Danuwar (1,836) with total population of 14,210, which forms 52.80 percent out of total population of 26,913 in Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 3,362 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 303 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 760 houses had roof of tile, 359 houses had RCC roofs, 15 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 4,391 out of 4,830 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 255 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 160 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

Utilities

In Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality, there were total 48 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 4,691 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 4 houses had covered well while 8 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. With reference to source of fuel, 728 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 36 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 15 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (3,949), bio-gas (21), fuel electricity (2), etc.

Same as, total 3,502 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 1,251, while 36 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.73.

Facilities

out of 4,830 households in Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality, 1,085 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 3,672 households reported of using at least one facility.
