There were 42,777 votes casted during 2008 Constituent Assembly elections in Lamjung District, Constituency No. 2. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Prithhivi Subba Gurung secured 19,583 (45.78%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Dil Bahadur Gharti of Nepali Congress Party who secured 13,699 (32.02%) votes and came in second position. The difference in votes of Prithhivi Subba Gurung and Dil Bahadur Gharti was 5,884. All other candidates secured 9,495 (22.20%) votes.
