There were 41,146 votes casted during 1999 House of Representatives elections in Lalitpur District, Constituency No. 2. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Krishna Lal Maharjan secured 16,169 (39.30%) votes and secured victory in the election.
