Kalikot – 1 | 2008 Constituent Assembly Election Results

There were 48,138 votes casted during 2008 Constituent Assembly elections in Kalikot District, Constituency No. 1. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) - Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma secured 27,629 (57.40%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Hikmat Bahadur Bista of Nepali Congress Party who secured 11,241 (23.35%) votes and came in second position. The difference in votes of Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma and Hikmat Bahadur Bista was 16,388. All other candidates secured 9,268 (19.25%) votes.

As illustrated in the pie-chart above, the candidates who lost the election secured 20,509 (42.60%) votes as compared to votes secured by elected candidate Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma, which was 27,629 (57.40%) votes.
