Kageshwori Manohara is a Municipality located in Kathmandu District of Nepal. It has total 9 wards and 27 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 census, it had total population of 60,237.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Kageshwori Manohara Municipality had total 60,237 population with 30,233 males and 30,004 females. Out of total wards, ward number 9 had the largest population 13,600, while ward number 3 had least number of population with 13,600.
With respect to number of households, Kageshwori Manohara Municipality had total 14,329 households. The ward number 9 had most households with total 3,558, while ward number 3 had least number of households with total 503 number of households.

With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 20 and 24 (3,789), between 25 and 29 (3,475), between 15 and 19 (3,341), between 10 and 14 (2,985), and between 30 and 34 (2,707), with total population of 16,297. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (364), above 75 (518), between 65 and 69 (557),between 60 and 64 (707), and between 55 and 59 (778), with total population of 2,924.
The population with age-group below 4 had male to female ratio of 1.22, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 25 to 29 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.80. The age-groups below 4, 45 to 49, 5 to 9, 10 to 14, 40 to 44, 55 to 59, 15 to 19, 50 to 54 had majority of male population while age-groups 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 60 to 64, 20 to 24, 65 to 69, 70 to 74, above 75, 25 to 29 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

There were 69.35 % (41,776 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 26.18 % with total number of 15,772. Mostly spoken language in Kageshwori Manohara is Nepali, which is spoken by 48,168 people. The Kageshwori Manohara has people who speak other languages, such as Tamang, Newar, Rai, Maithili, Magar, Sherpa, Bhojpuri, Gurung, Tharu, Limbu, Sunuwar, Majhi, Hindi, Chamling, Urdu, Dumi, Doteli, Thami, etc.

There were as little as Kanu caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Kageshwori Manohara are Chhetri, Newar, Tamang, Magar, Rai, Sarki, Kami, Damai/Dholi, Gurung, Dalit Others, Tharu, Gharti/Bhujel, Sherpa, Limbu, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Thakuri, Sunuwar, Majhi, Muslim, Terai Others, Yadav, Hajam/Thakur, Teli, Brahmin - Tarai, Kayastha, Koiri/Kushwaha, Dhanuk, Chepang/Praja, Thami, Thakali, Haluwai, Rajput, Dhimal, Danuwar, Tatma/Tatwa, Badi, Chamar/Harijan/Ram, Kathbaniyan, Kalwar, Kanu, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Similarly, there were 87 people who were blind and 99 people were deaf, while 14 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 80 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 42 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,266 houses were mud bonded, 10,206 houses were cement bonded, 69 houses were wood planks bonded, 163 houses were bamboo bonded and 359 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 191 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 3,277 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 731 houses had roof of tile, 9,850 houses had RCC roofs, 33 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.
With respect to the toilets, 327 out of 14,329 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 9,627 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 4,273 houses reported having ordinary toilets.
Utilities
With reference to source of fuel, 2,883 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 358 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 10,936 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (4), bio-gas (20), fuel electricity (6), etc.
Same as, total 14,025 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 109, while 6 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.98.
Facilities
Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 3,651 establishments in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 10,274 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 5,757 and female engagement of 4,517 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.81 people engaged with average males are 1.58 and females are 1.24. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.27, which means as many as 1.27 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 56.03 percent while the females are 43.97 percent.
