There were 48,165 votes casted during 1994 House of Representatives elections in Gulmi District, Constituency No. 2. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Kamal Raj Shrestha secured 25,651 (53.26%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Bhagwat Gyawali of Nepali Congress Party who secured 19,872 (41.26%) votes and came in second position.
