Gosaikunda Rural Municipality (Rasuwa) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Gosaikunda Rural Municipality (Rasuwa district), candidate Kaisang Nurpu Tamang of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 1,828 (52.30%) votes out of total votes of 3,495 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Pemba Tshiring Tamang of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 1,505 (28.27%) of votes. The rest of 1 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 162 (2.32) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Kar Gyalmu Tamang of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 1,740 (51.01%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Deki Tamang of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 1,149 (22.31%) of votes and came in second position. Other 3 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 522 (7.65) of votes.
As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 76 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 52 (68.42%) males and 24 (31.58%) females. Moreover, there were total 19 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 6 wards. Same as, total 30 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 15 females and 4 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
